  • Emergency Child care places from 25th

    Wed 25 Mar 2020 Mr A

Evening Everyone. Our child care numbers have been really low over the past few days and so we are sharing places with Clwyd at Clwyd Primary School for the next few days.  If you need childcare over the next few days please attend Clwyd. The hours remain the same and at least two of our staff will be in attendance.

We will reopen Gwyrosydd once the demand for places in our own school increases.

FSM food packs are still available from our school between 12 and 1:30. We order 50 packs a day and this can be increased. You can collect packs for all your children from our school even if they attend other schools.

We understand the Local Authority will be making some changes in the coming days to Hub registration and to the way meals are to be distributed, we will update you as soon as we can.

  • Free Learning Resources from Twinkl

    Thu 19 Mar 2020 Mr A

    Dear Parents,

As a school we subscribe to and use an online resource called ‘Twinkl’ where learning resources can be searched and downloaded and printed. It is a website that is full of learning resources, projects, things to download, make and do. It is set out in year groups, project titles, has worksheets that can be printed etc. You can also search for specific projects or words e.g. Romans, Space, Hand writing or Times Tables and differentiated work will come up.  Welsh is available and even work specifically for school based in Wales.

Being web based it can be accessed on any device and resources printed off freely.

The website has given free access to parents for a month starting this week and so here is the link for free access …

Twinkl is offering every teacher in Wales access to all Twinkl resources with a One Month Ultimate Membership, totally free of charge. We’re also extending this to every parent in your school so your pupils can still have access to high-quality learning during any periods of disruption.

Setting this up is really easy to do – go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and enter the code UKTWINKLHELPS

  • Update

    Tue 17 Mar 2020

The tone of our previous text may have appeared blunt.  We do apologise.

We would like to clarify that the school is open to all fit pupils in line with Government Guidance.  We do understand the level of concern parents have, and may choose to keep pupils home.

We understand there may be cases that we are unaware of and Government advice to self isolate means families having to make difficult decisions without confirmed tests.

Contrary to some Facebook posts, we cannot/ will not close until officially told to do so.
