  • Y5 hoodies

    Fri 24 May 2019

Our Y5 children have been voting for their favourite colour for next year's leavers' hoodie.  So far, they have voted for the favourite out of a total of 30 different colours.

We've narrowed it down to the top 4 most popular colours.  After the half term break, we'll be able to show Y5 pupils and parents a sample of the hoodie in each of the 4 colours, and then we'll have a vote to decide on the most popular colour.

When the sample hoodies come in, we'll invite parents to see them.

The 'This is Me' video of the whole school using Makaton to sign / sing 'This is Me' from The Greatest Showman is now available via the 'blog' section of our website. Thanks to everyone who has made this the success that it has turned out to be, from the planning, to performance, to production and posting of the video. Very heart-warming and uplifting video, thank you all.

  • Nursery news

    Fri 10 May 2019

Nursery are learning about roots, a whole school project of the history of our school and Daniel James (Mr Gwyrosydd) - this is who our school is named after.  Nursery have been learning about then and now, toys from Victorian times, and how children in the 1800s used to play.  Also they have been learning about how school was for children in the 1800s.

Next week our sound of the week is "g".  We are also learning about Gwyrosydd & growth.  If you have any photos of parents/ grandparents in your school days, we would love to see them.  Also, we'd love to hear your stories about school was for you, so that children can see differences between then and now.

Thank you for your continued support,

    Miss Morris & Mrs Kane
