Year 2LJ have had a busy Summer term!! We’ve had 2 brilliant topics Potions 🧪 and The Olympics . They loved writing a recount of the visit from Mad Science, which was an amazing experience, where they learnt about acids, alkaline, different types of reactions and how to make a dry ice cloud! This inspired them to find other reaction experiments, including testing the reaction of an egg shell when placed in different liquids to see how our teeth react to the same liquids. They loved being outdoors creating wands and loved celebrating World Get Outside Day. Through The Olympics topic they have investigated what it takes to be a gymnast and how to break dance. They have found out about Simone Biles and her famous “The Biles” moves, as well as learning how she manages her ADHD through training as gymnast and how she manages her mental health when under pressure.
